NFFC GIRLS  & WOMEN

EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

 

NFFC is thrilled to offer a range of opportunities for girls and women to participate in 2020.

 

After a series of pilots and discussions throughout 2019, we are keen to build on the momentum and interest expressed in our community.  We are committed to fostering an inclusive club, in which females participate in all aspects of our culture and game.

MINIROOS KICK-OFF GIRLS PROGRAM

Suitable for girls aged from 5-11 interested in starting or continuing to play soccer with other girls.

 

The program builds bonds, confidence and skills between girls of all ages.  Our program coaches

are female players and emerging leaders, which serve as role models for our younger players. 

New and developing players have the opportunity to experience the benefit of being part of a

team and club environment.

Commitment:      Saturdays 10.30 -11.30am

3 x 8-week programs 

Term 1  Feb 8-Mar 28 (Mott Reserve, Preston)

Term 2  April 25 - June 13 (Hayes Park, Thornbury)

Term 3   July 25 - J Sept 12  (Hayes Park, Thornbury)

UNDER 9’s GIRLS TEAMS

Suitable for girls from 5-11years old interested in starting or continuing to playing in an all-girls team and competition.

 

Commitment:       Training – 1 x during the week (TBC), approx. 5.30 -6.30pm

Game day – Sunday mornings, approx. start times range from 9am- 11am

UNDER 7, 8 or 9’s MIXED TEAMS

Suitable for girls from 6-9 years old interested in playing in a mixed boys and girls teams and competition.

 

Commitment:       Training – 1 or 2 x during the week (TBC), approx. 5.30 -6.30pm

Game day – Sunday mornings, approx. start times range from 9am- 11am

 

SOCCER MUMS

Fun and fitness program with an experienced program leader - no skills or experience needed!

Commitment:      Saturdays 8.00 -9.00am (TBC)

3 x 8-week programs 

Term 1  Feb 8-Mar 28 (Mott Reserve, Preston)

FEMALE PARTICIPATION SUB-COMMITTEE

 The sub-committee is a chance to review issues and opportunities for girls and women to contribute in building the community at NFFC.  

Topics include: 

  • Girls and mixed soccer programs 

  • Club facilities

  • Social and fundraising facilities

  • Physical and mental wellbeing initiatives

Commitment:       Monthly meeting (first Tuesday of the month) 7.30-8.30pm (Agenda sent out week before)
